Early in the conceptual process, I decided I wanted the visual theme of this study guide to be beautiful, but also bring up thoughts of devotion and hard work. Mountain climbing became a subject that allowed me to accomplish both. While I am not a pro mountain climber, I know you can't show up in flip-flops and expect to climb the tallest peaks in the world. It takes planning, dedication, preparation, training, and a strong desire to see the top. This imagery became a natural fit, and I tried to mold the book's design like a climbing journal. Each week, I made a different step in climbing up the mountain. Week 1 was the Base Camp, and the final week was the mountain peak.
I was responsible for this project's design concept, layout, and typography.
