Golden Hills Community Church is the organization I have worked for the longest. I was hired to overhaul their graphic communications from the ground up and oversee all graphics produced by the church. My first task was to rebrand the church's identity system. Golden Hills has a history of logos incorporating the cross and hills. GHCC strived to make sure the logo was identifiable as representing a church, not a mark so simplified that it could be anything. It was essential to maintain that history in creating this logo, but the goal was to present the elements more abstractly—as a single, recognizable mark. The final logomark incorporates the cross, the hills, and inward arrows to signify connection and community.
