Our Father, His Glory, Our Prayer is a study guide for those wanting to know more about the famous prayer of Jesus, the Lord's Prayer. The concept for the book's design began when I considered the Lord's prayer as Jesus' instruction on how to pray; a map for how to pray. I saw a quote by Thomas Watson about how prayer is like a ship that we send off to God, and my nautical map concept was born.
I added star fields into the design as an added texture because ships use stars as a vital part of ocean navigation. I drew inspiration from the art of Bungie, a video game studio that uses nautical-style maps for its Destiny series. I was responsible for this project's design concept, layout, and typography. I also illustrated the nautical map designs.
